Ten happy things

For some reason I thought of making this list the other day at work, so here it is.

  1. Eating a really delicious piece of fruit.
  2. Listening to Car Talk.
  3. Sitting outside on a beautiful afternoon and drinking a beer or a cup of coffee.
  4. Going out on an impromptu date with James.
  5. Eating anything cooked on a charcoal grill.
  6. Getting plenty of sleep.
  7. Doing a Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle.
  8. Working really hard and having people notice.
  9. Going for a walk on my lunch break.
  10. Watching a really excellent football game.

Happily, I've had occasion to do all of those things in the past week.

Watch out for #10. I have a bad feeling about this weekend...
Well, nothing to do but wait and see. And hope :)
I guess I was half right. If only the Skins had Big Ben...

You must've been freaking out at the end of the Colts game. Don't forget to send Vanderjagdt that check in the mail.
Vanderjagt's a jerk. One story on CNN.com last night quoted him as saying, "I guess the Lord forgot about the football team."

I have to agree with Joey Porter's postgame comments: the refs tried the whole game to hand the game to Indianapolis, but it didn't work. Thank God.

You have to realize the irony of pointing out Vanderjagt's "the Lord forgot..." quote and following it up with a Thank God... :)

Yup, I do. I don't find thanking God to be in poor taste, though, whereas I think blaming him for a missed kick is pretty uncool :)
